Challenged people in film

We have come along way when it comes to   Representing today’s world in film and we still have a long way to go. The thing I want to talk about in this small  article is how I feel that  disabled people  or as I like to call them  people with challenges. Are really only showen in movies or TV if their in a wheelchair. Now  I’m not saying that is always the case but a lot of the times it is, let me  explain.
The move “The upside” that is a move about a Rich man in a wheelchair who hires someone to help around the house because he’s in a wheelchair and over the time that they spend together they become best friends  rich man in a wheelchair who hires someone to help up around the house because he’s in a wheelchair. As the movie goes on they become best friends. Another example of this kind of storyline is “Me before you” expect in this one it’s to people who fall in love.
Yes I know they have sweet meanings behind them like love for who they are on the inside and not on the outside. Even when they do have a challenge it is the many thing about the Character.
I know what you are  probably  Asking why is this person throwing so much shade on all of these movies? Well you see I have CP also known as   Cerebral   Palsy, I’ve had my whole life, I’m also someone who loves to set in my bed and watch something really good on my iPad.
That is why I’m writing this to tell you how I feel, that most of the time in movies the  character is in wheelchair or has  cancer. The only movie I can think that has a character that isn’t in wheelchair or doesn’t have cancer is a movie called “Every thing every thing.” It is a story about a girl that has to stay inside this  special house all the time because she has all of these  really severe allergies, if she goes outside she could die. She also has this  neighbor  That she falls in love with, the whole movie is her seeing the world and falling in love for the first time.
